Explanation:
A worn or loose belt will generate vibration at the belt passing rate, and its harmonics. Usually 2X the Belt Passing Frequency is observed with the highest amplitude peak in the spectrum. The Belt Passing Frequency is always less than the speed of either pulley/sheave.
Simply enter both driver and driven pulley diameters (inches), the distance between pulley centers (inches), and machine running speed (either driver or driven, in RPM).
Hit the Get Frequency Button or Press Enter, and the toolbox will output Machine 1X Vibration Frequency (Hz), the Calculated Belt Length (serves as a check, as it is generally known) and the Belt Passing Frequency (Hz).
